The Fentress County Historical Society today announced a student poster contest to be held in conjunction with the Society’s Spring Heritage Roundup theme of “Fentress Countians in the Great War”.
The contest, which is being sponsored by Progressive Savings Bank, is open to students currently enrolled in Fentress County Schools, grades six through twelve. First place winner will receive a $50 cash award, second place will receive a $25 cash award and third place will receive a $10 cash award.
Award winning posters will be displayed at the Historical Society’s Fentress Countians in the Great War program at Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute, Friday evening, April 28th and at its Spring Heritage Roundup, Saturday, April 29th, at York Elementary School.
Information and contest rules are available at Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute, York Elementary School, Clarkrange High School and South Fentress Elementary School. Interested students at these schools should contact their teacher or school guidance counselor.
